| We are looking to hire a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our global team in Technology. This is a challenging, fast-paced and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunities to influence and grow the technology area. As part of the Network Engineering team, you will proactively ensure the stability, resilience and scale of our services by automation, testing and engineering. You will be implementing robust network solutions as well as ensuring consistent monitoring, logging and alerting of those solutions. List of skills we think you'll need: Comfortable with taking initiatives and exhibiting ownership. Autonomous and keen to grow as a professional Familiar with agile practices. Open to change and adaptability to shifting directions, circumstances and priorities. Effective communication skills. Proactive thinking. Problem solving. Willingness to follow and improve processes. Technical skills Good understanding of #networkprotocols, including #tcpip #BGP, #OSPF, #VLANs, and other protocols commonly used in enterprise networks. Good knowledge of general routing, load balancing and switching. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues like network performance issues. Experience with #firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security measures. Ability to propose network designs and implement network architectures meeting the needs of the organisation. Experience with ops culture and good understanding of metrics, alarms and dashboards. Knowledge and understanding of #cloudnetworking. Experience with one of the major #cloudproviders (#AWS, #Azure, #OCI, #GCP) is a big plus. Well-versed in network automation tools and techniques, including scripting or programming languages like #python . Mindset:Enjoy continuous improvement. Take ownership and pride in the work you deliver. Ensue what is delivered is of good quality and takes into account security, capacity and performance. Automate, continuously iterate and improve on existing technologies whilst keeping up-to-date with the latest trends to keep us ahead of the game. Understand the importance of and be a strong advocate for non-functionals eg. monitoring, alerting, logging etc. |
